Your life crosses borders. Your decisions are connected.

Moving to Portugal brings decisions about where you live, how you earn, what you own and what you want for the future. Each choice can affect the others.

I help entrepreneurs and their families see the whole picture, make informed decisions and bring the right specialists together.

The questions people usually start with

  1. Your company

What do you do with your entities back home, and do you set up new ones in Portugal?

  2. Your home and residency

When do you become tax resident here, and what happens to your house?

  3. Your investments

How should you think about your long-term investments, pension and potential capital gains tax?

  4. Your income

What income do you need for your life in Portugal, now and once you stop working, and how should it best be structured?

  5. Your taxes

Which country taxes what, what do you still file back home, and how do your personal and corporate taxes relate to each other?

  6. Your family

What does the move mean for your partner, your children and your estate?

Advisers advise. You decide.

Your accountants know the numbers. Your lawyers know the law. But they don't always agree, and the decisions, along with their consequences, are yours.

I help you connect the advice, test the assumptions behind it and see the trade-offs, so you can decide what makes sense for your business and your life. Independently, and alongside the specialists you already trust.

  • Independent. I don't sell financial products. Tax, legal and regulated financial advice stays with qualified specialists.
  • Personal. You work with me directly, with no team in between.
  • Connected. Where you need a specialist, I can introduce you to tax, legal, accounting and immigration advisers I know and trust in Portugal.

About me

I've been on both sides of the table

I've advised decision-makers as a strategy consultant at McKinsey, and been one: as general manager of OLX Portugal, and co-founding ventures with entrepreneurs and investors.

I know what it's like to be the founder surrounded by accountants, lawyers, investors and board members: each brings real expertise, but the responsibility for the decision is yours alone. That's why I advise the person who makes the decision, not any one part of it.

More about me

Three ways to work together

Most clients start with the Decision Review.

Decision Review

Clarity before commitment

A focused session on your situation, goals and options. You receive a written map of the decisions ahead, how they depend on one another, and where specialist expertise matters.

Advisory Retainer

Independent judgment, whenever you need it

An independent sounding board as your circumstances change, whether you're growing, stepping back, selling, preparing for retirement, buying property or planning how your estate passes on. You get continuity, and advisers who are aligned.
